Spring is in the air
Every year I look forward to the arrival of spring and the blooming of
flowers in Shanghai, something that either doesn't happen or I didn't
notice in Sydney. Here are some images of the first blooms of spring
2009.

Correct - does not happen in Spring. Is a common thing for most expat Sydneysiders that they discover the joys of Spring for the first time when they live abroad. The same cannot be said for Melbourne which has a more defined season transition. Spring in Europe is amazing. You literally wake up one day and can feel in the air that it is no longer Winter.
